A gestural painting of a nude woman.
I like to focus on gesture both in brushstrokes and in the form to emphasise the life and movement that I see. These strokes are intended to flow through the form without being overworked to capture the life of the model as they are first seen.
The painting style began as a visual interpretation of grunge music, where roughness is merged with rhythm. This lead to a loose but calculated form where paints are mixed on the canvas with minimalist brushstrokes to flow into one another.
An artwork created in acrylic on canvas.
Measuring 18x18 inch.
